SIPPING BUDDIES
[FlashXer] EXERCISE: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9,2008
I don 't know if I am showing my age or not.
There are those, many, I am sure who would say that
nothing is better than sex. (Consult the prompt below) But when you
get long in the tooth,
and start thinking of other pleasures that first cup of coffee...
ah, as my Jewish friends would say: A michiah.
And I am sure it can make a story. So stir in some sweetner,
take the first sip and start to work. When the jolt hits you,
you'll be ready and able to go. If you don't drink coffee...pity
It's not like Dean Martin said about booze: Imagine you won't feel
any better all day, but it somehting to enjoy.
MAN, IT'S INCREDIBLE, THAT FIRST CUP OF COFFEE IN THE MORNING...
WHY IT IS ALMOST BETTER THAN SEX....
Usual rules: 1000 words. In the subject line, please, your name
the word Coffee and the story title.
Take a big sip, it's sure to get you going.

11/12/08 Janine's Coffee "Sipping Buddies" 82 words
"That first cup of coffee in the morning is almost better than sex," Tom said to his cup of coffee.
"Did I hear you right?" said the woman from the bedroom.
"Uh... I didn't know you were up yet. Would you like a cup, darling?"
"No. I think I would rather give you a reason to stay in bed all day and forget that coffee, darling."
The cup off coffee sits neglected on the kitchen counter, wondering where his sipping buddy went.

Cute piece, Janine. It certainly suits the prompt to a T. I made a couple
of minor comment in your manuscript for you to use or toss.
