THE WOMAN

[FlashXer] EXERCISE: MARCH 27, 2007

First, I want to thank Sandra for her prompt. It was a good one, and inspired some interesting writing. Thanks for the help, I do appreciate it.
I was away for a weekend Bat Mizvah...a really special one. One of our dear friends grand child was the celebrant in a very lovely New England synagogue...with all the trimmings. it was something to experience. So, thanks again, Sandra.
I was checking the newspaper this morning, and I have a warning for any of you who happen to be paper chewers. There are many, I know who sort of reflexively put a little piece of paper in the mouth and chew away.
Well think twice from now on. According to the paper, they are now making paper, good paper it seems, from Panda Poop. Apparently they have been utilizing elephant droppings in Thailand for the same purpose. So I caution you, find out where your paper is coming from: it might be acceptable if this paper were for use in the john, but I don't think that's the case. It is made into writing paper, stationery and other such things, I think;. We better get together and insist they make it less well and put it ....

ON A ROLL

I hadn't planned to present my prompt today this way, but it sort of worked out.
Don't think of it necessarily as TP....but rather as a state of mind or what happens in the world. Or if you so desire, a sandwich. But have fun with it. And of course, usual rules:
1000 words. In the subject line please, your name, the word roll and the story title.
Let the ideas fly , the fingers follow suit and you too can be right there, rolling along.
Have fun.

3/30/07 ROLL Janine Bouyssounouse "The Woman" (81 wc)

"I’ll take a ham and cheese, please."

"Would you like that on rye, sir?" The sandwich maker confident he knew the answer, reached for the rye.

"No, I’ll take a French roll today." The customer stared out the front window with a smile on his face.

"But sir, you always have rye. What’s the special occasion?" The sandwich maker looked up to see the customer.

The customer drank in the woman walking through the door. The sandwich maker had his answer.
