THE ENDLESS CHATTER

It was just after dark when the taxi pulled up letting out a debutante with her date, Harry. Harry had a chalky taste in his mouth from biting down on an aspirin in the taxi. He was told the aspirin would help with the migraines.

Harry enjoyed hearing all the guys compliment him on how beautiful his date was. All Harry had to do was survive her endless chatter. He was getting better at keeping the aspirin gritted between his teeth, biting down at the critical time when he would have to be seen in public with the dazzling debutante.

Everything else was good. He knew how to keep her mouth busy at meals and in bed. It was just the car rides that got to him. He felt it was important to let her talk at some time, so he just worked with his aspirin regimen and tried to look at the positive side of things.

One day it was a very long drive to an evening out at an A list party. He turned to her and asked if she was alright. He handed her a pill insisting she looked ill. By the time they arrived, the cyanide did its work and the talking was done.

Harry doesn't mind prison. He doesn't have any more headaches and no longer cares who he dates.
