La Gloria
This building is very distinctive with the metal circles on it. I found it along the Metro Rail Gold Line in East Los Angeles.
East LA Civic Center Tile Entranceway
This tilework is at the entrance to the park with the lake at the East Los Angeles Civic Center. It's a very welcoming place. The transit plaza is covered in artwork.
Sidewalk Tilework in East LA
At the East Los Angeles Civic Center, there are several pieces of artwork embedded in the sidewalk. It's nice to see art everywhere you look. The sidewalk tiles are only part of the overall design.
East LA Civic Center Lake
This lake is located between the library and the sheriff station, which both overlook it from hilltop locations. There is a huge grassy area surrounding the lake. The grassy area is arranged in an ampetheater style, sloping down to the water. It looks like it is built to have stage presentations, where the stage is a barge in the lake.
East La Library Art 1
This is in the entranceway to the East Los Angeles Public Library. It takes up an entire wall.
East LA Library Art 2
This artwork is on the other side of the hallway entrance. It greets people as they enter the building. The East Los Angeles Public Library has en extensive section of Chicano Stdies and book written in Spanish. They have a special story time area for reading out loud to children.
East LA Civic Center Ironwork
This ironwork is one of two pieces on opposite corners of the street near the Metro Rail Civic Center stop on the Gold Line. The whole area is beautiful. Even the area hospital is beautiful.
