This is a view of the Santa Monica Pier from the narrow strip of park that runs along the edge of the cliff that drops down to the Pacific Coast Highway. A huge storm came along and tore off the end of the pier in the early 1980's. This view is after extensive rebuilding.

This is a wonderful piece of art on 4th Street near Third Street Promenade in Downtown Santa Monica. I posted it on Facebook and someone told me it looked like a bed until they enlarged it. It's always a wonder what people will see when they first glance at it.

This mural is painted on the wall of a freeway underpass in Santa Monica. It's under highway 10 on Stewart Street. There is a companion mural on the opposite wall of the underpass. It's worth a look.

I found sidewalk tiles with pieces of the map of Santa Monica on them in the Third Street Promenade area. This mosaic is a very nice addition to the rest of the sidewalk art. Keep looking, you just might find something worthwhile on your adventures.
